This course is delivered by the AACSB accredited Business School, an accreditation which places us within the top institutions globally for business degrees. Less than 5% of business schools worldwide have attained this hallmark of excellence which recognises a focus on excellence in all areas, including teaching and student learning.
Offering unparalleled flexibility, our selection of Business Studies courses allows you to apply to our broad Business Studies degree (N100) and then migrate to a specific area of interest in year two. What’s more, as this course is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), you’ll not only graduate with a degree in Business Studies with Human Resource Management, but receive a Diploma in Management and Leadership too.
On this course you’ll develop a conceptual understanding of the nature and character of modern human resource management, and gain a critical understanding of the main issues and themes in employment relations, learning and development, and people resourcing. You’ll also explore the relationship of these aspects in context of the wider HRM function, and their contribution to the organisation as a whole.
Your curriculum, taught by highly qualified lecturers and industry-savvy practitioners, will be peppered with numerous networking events and compelling talks held by guest speakers from a variety of business disciplines. Plus there’s the possibility of travel in year two, as you can study the second semester at one of BU’s international partner institutions, currently in Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and the United States.
A 30-week period in industry will help to bolster your CV in year three. This will give you essential real-world experience, placing your theory and skills into practice, and enabling you to harvest a network of professional contacts – all of which are vital for successfully launching a career.
88% of our students agreed that the library resources (e.g. books, online services and learning spaces) have supported their learning. Join us on live chat now to find out more, or register to meet us at an Open Day.
