Sorting your maintenance issues

Got a maintenance issue?

Each student residence has its own process for reporting maintenance issues and you will find an overview below for each accommodation.

Which accommodation is your maintenance issue related to?

St John's Road and Unilet

These properties are managed by BU, you can report any problems via the accommodation portal, please complete all sections as fully as possible with contact details and one of our team will be in touch about getting things sorted.

If the matter is an emergency and cannot wait, such as a flood, please report as follows:

  • For emergencies during office hours report direct to a member of Residential Services team in person at Melbury House, BH8 8ES or by phone on 01202 961671.
  • For emergencies out of office hours, please contact the 24/7 BU reception, Poole House, Talbot Campus on 01202 965001

Student Village

You should report any maintenance issues to directly to the Student Village site office between the hours of 10am - 2pm (Monday - Friday) or by emailing: studentvillageteam@bournemouth.ac.uk.

If the matter is an emergency and cannot wait, such as a flood, please contact 24/7 BU Reception, Poole House on 01202 965001 

Chesil House, Lyme Regis House, Cranborne House and Okeford House

These properties are managed by Campus Living Villages who have their own on site maintenance teams. You can report issues using the following contact details:

Purbeck House

This property is managed by Unite Students who have an onsite maintenance team and will do their best to resolve issues quickly once they are reported. You can report maintenance problems at reception, by downloading an app for your phone that allows you to log maintenance reports, or you can report a problem through the Unite website

Dorchester House

This property is managed by iQ Students, who have a maintenance crew based onsite at Dorchester House and will do their best to fix any issues quickly. You should report any maintenance problems to reception or by emailing dorchesterhouse@iqstudent.com

Corfe House

This property is managed by Student Roost, who have a maintenance crew based onsite at Corfe House and will do their best to fix any issues quickly. You should report any maintenance problems to reception

Home Park

This property is managed by Fresh Student Living, who have a maintenance crew based onsite at Home Park and will do their best to fix any issues quickly. You should report any maintenance problems to reception

Private rentals

You should report any maintenance issues to your landlord (if you are in direct contact with them) or your letting agent, who will arrange for the necessary repairs to be carried out.
