If you want to learn about another country’s language and culture, a summer school is a great option, giving you the opportunity to immerse yourself in a new way of life abroad.

Enhance your learning process by choosing one of the summer schools suggested below, or find your own. We encourage you to create your own opportunities - seeking out one that will suit your particular interests and needs.

Participation in an international summer school can also earn you points towards the Global Talent Programme.

China

International Summer School at Renmin University of China

This Summer School, a new initiative of Renmin University of China, focusses on the Chinese language and also on various aspects of Chinese politics and society as well as life and culture. As a student in this program, you will have opportunities to take part in well-organized projects and interact with regular Renmin University students who can share their perspectives on life and living in China.

Denmark

AU Summer University – BU partner institution

The programme at AU Summer University consist of a broad variety of courses, taught in English at Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD level, within the fields of: Arts, Business and Economics, Business Communication, Political Science and Law, Health, Science and Technology.

AU Summer University welcomes Danish and international full-time students, exchange students and free movers. Along with the academic programme, we offer accommodation service, visa service, and a social programme for both lecturers and students.

India

UKIERI Study India Programme

If you would like to spend three weeks in India this summer, sponsored by the UK Government, there is still time to apply for the UKIERI Study India Programme. 915 UK students have completed this prestigious programme over the last five years. Participants spend time in the mega-cities of Delhi and Mumbai including a three-day visit to Delhi University and a one-week internship at an Indian company, MNC, school or charity.

Mexico

UDLAP Summer Programs

An opportunity to discover Mexico’s rich and varied culture through one of their three programmes:

  • Spanish Immersion Program

Netherlands

NTHV Summer School – BU partner institution

Spend a week in the summer studying at Holland's best University of Applied Sciences and experience the Dutch culture at the same time. Five different week-long in depth courses are offered, with state of the art knowledge from experts combined with Dutch culture, traditions and fun with international students. The five different courses specialise in the fields of Tourism, Leisure, Hospitality and Logistics.

Poland

Summer School Poland

A unique two-week program offered by Wroclaw University of Economics in Poland. The theme of this 7th edition will be Quantitative and qualitative methods in management, focusing on economies and business models of Central European countries. The courses will include two weeks of interactive classes, workshops, business simulation on-line games, and a very diverse social program which among other things includes a weekend trip to Krakow – one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Poland. The program offers up to 8 ECTS points and is divided into two separate segments for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
