The Global Talent Programme is a free, innovative, extra-curricular award which is tailored to your needs. It will help you evidence that you've crossed physical and cultural boundaries to deliver outstanding results in your studies and bring that to the workplace, enhancing your future and recognising your achievement above and beyond your academic degree. Take a look at the GTP YouTube channel to view some of the previous workshop videos.

How it works

You will focus on themes key to the global workplace: global citizenship, collaboration, skills development and research and innovation.

These are relevant attributes employers are looking for, regardless of what you are studying or which industry you choose to work in.

Being part of this programme involves just a few hours of your time each week, where you will work towards achieving a number of badges (this is dependent on your level of study), and ultimately, the Global Talent Award. To gain your badges you need to take part in a series of lectures and events, undertaking various activities and online challenges. You can also apply your interests in all kinds of extra-curricular activities.

Completing the Global Talent Programme means you will have managed some unique challenges and experiences which employers will immediately recognise as special, considerably enhancing your CV and boosting your global employability.

On successful completion of the programme, you will receive a BU Global Talent certificate to authenticate your achievements.

You can find out more about the GTP at the weekly drop-in session every Thursday, 1pm-3pm, in the Careers Centre (outside the library, Talbot Campus).
