Academic dates

The following are the general start and end dates of term for undergraduate students – these may vary from course to course. You may also have a reading week in each term. You will be advised of the specific start and end dates for your course once your place has been confirmed.

Please note that the dates above apply to all non-NHS undergraduate courses within the Faculty of Health & Social Sciences.

The academic dates for 45-week NHS courses vary from the above and are as follows:

*The final term date of study will be Friday 22 December with your two-week winter break commencing on 25 December.

**The final term date of study will be Friday 21 December with your two-week winter break commencing on 24 December.

The academic dates for 45-week NHS courses with a February start are as follows:

During the summer period students will have a five-week block away from teaching that is allocated as a three-week holiday and two weeks of self-managed learning where no formal teaching occurs. These dates are currently unconfirmed.
