If your course includes a work placement or you choose to spend a year in industry, we’ll help you find an appropriate role.
Within your faculty you have access to a Placement Co-ordinator, who is dedicated to helping you find and secure a placement as part of your course. They’ll be your first point of contact for any placement queries you may have during your time at BU.
If you’re interested in working for a particular company, and it’s not one that we already have ties with, they can also support you when it comes to making contact and arranging your placement.
We can also give you information about opportunities to work abroad – enabling you to discover a new country and culture while you gain valuable workplace experience.
Our Careers & Employability Service can help you prepare your CV, give you tips on writing a covering letter and run practice interviews with you.
And once you’ve started your placement, your Placement Development Adviser will be on hand to provide support throughout your time working in industry. We want you to get as much as possible out of the experience, so we’ll offer you help whenever you need it.
