There are 13 self-contained studio apartments and 16 study bedrooms, each with their own ensuite bathroom, at St John’s Road. All the studio apartments have their own kitchen areas, while there is a shared kitchen on each of the three floors for all the other residents to make use of.
All of the rooms are fully furnished and each communal kitchen is equipped with all the appliances (cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave) you’ll need. The kitchenettes in the studio flats have a hob, oven and fridge.
There is also a common room and communal garden that you can use to socialise or study in, as well as a shared laundry room. This isn’t a manned building, but CCTV monitors the accommodation to help you feel secure.
You can also choose to have a university bus pass included in your rent, allowing you to travel on seven routes around Bournemouth and Poole that are operated by More Buses. However, if you decide you do not want a bus pass, there will be a reduction in the rent listed to reflect this.
The property at St John's Road is managed by BU, which means your contract will be with the university.
