Brand new for this September Home Park offers contemporary purpose-built student accommodation for Bournemouth University students with a variety of en-suite rooms and studios as well as an on-site laundry complete with washers and dryers. Your new home will put you in the centre of it all; access to local shops, minutes away from the train station, 10 minutes’ walk to the town centre and seafront.
Feel right at home in one of Home Park’s open-plan studios or en-suite rooms (all wifi enabled). All rooms come with their own bathroom and ¾ size bed (120cm X 190cm), along with a desk, chair and storage. Each studio flat has its own modern kitchen (with combi microwave oven)/dining area and if you’re in an ensuite then you will be in flats of between 5-7 sharing a fully equipped modern kitchen/lounge. Either will make the perfect retreat from a long day spent pouring over those books.
When its study time you couldn’t be in a better position with the site situated within the Lansdowne Campus and, using your inclusive annual bus pass, the Talbot Campus is a mere 15 minutes on the University’s bus service (complete with wifi). If you prefer to stay fit and healthy and ride to college then there is a secure bike store on site for you to keep that ride of yours safe.
When it time to socialise you can use one of the two communal lounges, which supply free wi-fi.
Have a maintenance request or just need to know where to buy milk? Don’t worry, there is a full management team on site Monday-Friday and outside of office hours there is always on site security to ensure you have a real person to go and speak to.
Your accommodation Licence at Home Park will be with the University. This means that the University will be your landlord, issue your accommodation contract and you will pay them your rent. However, the site itself is run by our accommodation partner, Fresh Student Living who we contract to deliver the day to day management services at the site.
£1 p/wk of your weekly rent contributes towards the running of your Res Life programme. Res Life is designed to help your time in your student accommodation be the best it can be. The BU Res Life team live on site and are there to help you settle into your new home, be available if you ever need a bit of support or someone to talk to and also help you and your fellow residents foster a sense of community throughout the year. They will not only be organising and running events for you but will also be looking for any ideas you might have to make your Res Life even better. Remember, £1 of your rent contributes to the funding of Res Life so we encourage you to get involved and get the most out of it! More details of what Res Life is all about and how you can get involved can be found at our Res Life info page.
