Lulworth House is a recently refurbished accommodation block on the Lansdowne Campus. It is predominantly for undergraduate students and is ideally situated to give you access to the university's facilities, as well as Bournemouth town centre.
It is within easy walking distance of all the university buildings on Lansdowne, as well as the beach. The university bus service (U1 and U4) picks up and drops off on Holdenhurst Road, which is just around the corner, and it’s approximately a five-minute walk to Bournemouth train station. You’re also close to a large ASDA, numerous cafes, bars and restaurants, and the Students’ Union-run Old Fire Station.
How to book
We have been informed that Lulworth House is now fully booked for 2017/18. If you are interested in joining the waiting list for a room in Lulworth House, you need to contact the Lulworth Student Company who own and manage the property:
There are six-bed cluster flats for undergraduate students, as well as self-contained studios, some of which have sea views. All of the flats feature an open-plan, shared kitchen and living area equipped with comfy seating, chairs, tables, storage cupboards and all of the appliances (cooker, fridge, freezer and microwave) you’ll need.
All of the bedrooms have a single bed, desk, shelves, wardrobe and ensuite as standard, and you’ll also be provided with bed linen and towels.
There's no indoor common area, but there is an outdoor terrace on the first floor with seating, to provide you with some space to meet and socialise. There is also an onsite card-operated laundry room that you can access at any time of day.
There is a member of staff at the site 24/7 for you to contact and speak with, and the whole building is monitored by CCTV. We also provide an online student support service that you can access whenever you need to.
On the ground floor there's an independent coffee shop where you can grab a drink on your way in or out, as well as snacks, breakfast and lunch.
