We have a dedicated Newsroom for our journalism students to make use of. It’s where we run our newsdays, giving you the chance to experience the fast-paced environment of a real newsroom and the opportunity to develop your journalistic skills.

The Newsroom is equipped with over 20 iMacs, all of which have Burli software installed on them. This multimedia software is used for voice and sound editing, allows all the computers in the newsroom and those in the radio studios to be networked, and enables you to add completed pieces to the running order.

Our computers also have AP ENPS installed on them - a programme for digital content creation that allows you to publish your content and share it with the rest of your team, or put it into the running order for the radio broadcast.
