Welcoming students from Greece

Find your home from home

We have a large community of international students at BU – currently just over 2,000 students from around 100 different countries and regions. At the moment, we have 28 students from Greece studying with us.

We are always happy to welcome new Greek students onto our undergraduate, postgraduate, research and top-up courses.

We will help you with your application to study at BU, or you can speak to one of our representatives in Greece who can offer assistance with your application. If you'd like more general advice about the UK education system, visas, scholarships or the variety of courses on offer, you should contact the British Council in Greece.

Funding eligibility for EU Undergraduate students

EU students applying for university places in the 2018/19 academic year will continue to be eligible for student fee loans and may be eligible for the government Maintenance Loan* - this will be for the duration of their course. Further information about undergraduate funding can be found on the gov.uk website.

*EU nationals must have been resident in the UK for at least five years or be EEA migrant workers in order to apply for the government Maintenance Loan.

Funding eligibility for EU Postgraduate students

EU students studying a Master's degree in 2018/19 may be eligible for some funding. The UK government is providing up to £10,280 in postgraduate loans. If eligible, you would receive the first payment after your course start date, once we have confirmed that you have registered. Each year's amount will be paid in three instalments of 33%, 33% and 34%. The instalments will be paid directly to you at the beginning of each term.

You can find more information on the gov.uk website.
