Our Accounting & Finance degree will give you an excellent working knowledge of these twin disciplines as well as a crucial grounding in business studies – providing you with the financial expertise, analytical skills, and strategic insight needed to pursue a career in the financial sector.

Top-performing students on this course will have the opportunity to obtain the ICAEW’s Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business in their final year. We are one of only a few UK universities able to offer this.

One of the key features of this degree is its flexibility; all the first year units are the same, giving you flexibility to transfer to another pathway and specialise in your second and final year. You’ll also have the option to study abroad at one of our international partner institutions during the second semester of the second year. Currently we have partners in Australia, Canada and Europe.

In year three you can complete a 30-week placement at home or abroad, to add real-world context to the theoretical framework forged in the classroom. You’ll also gain invaluable experience and create a network of professional contacts.

What’s more, our course is accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, the Association of International Accountants, the Charted Institute of Management Accountants, the Chartered Institute of Taxation, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales. If that wasn’t enough, because our accounting and finance degrees offer exemptions for accountancy qualifications, upon graduating you may not have to take all the exams required to become a Chartered Accountant.
