Student survey guidelines

Did you know that we operate a 'surveys' email group so that you can support each other and participate in other students’ research?

The dedicated email group is a really valuable tool if you are at the stage of conducting research for your dissertation/ project and your peers are your ideal sample population.

You can join or leave at your own discretion and all email requests for surveys to be published to this group have to be approved by AskBU - so they will be authentic requests.

If you are conducting research, it’s important to note that this is the only group you should use to send out a survey – you should not be contacting individuals or and groups by email. You will need to be a member of the surveys email group to be able to see that option in your email account.

For more information about the correct protocol to request BU staff and students to complete surveys, and how to sign up to the surveys email group, read the student surveys email group guidelines.

Students are bound by the University’s ICT Rules and Regulations and specifically the Acceptable Use policy.

Please take the time to note clause 6.16 which specifically refers to the content of emails and section 9, which details the possible sanctions for breaching these Rules and Regulations.

If you have any queries, please contact AskBU on 01202 969696.
