A field trip overseas offers a great opportunity for you to take part in activities that enable you to learn more about your particular subject in a new country. It can also be invaluable for course-related research projects, which may involve you volunteering your services at the same time.

Field trips can range in duration from one week up to a couple of months and may be arranged through your faculty at BU or through a specialist organisation. There is generally a cost involved for participation in the activity, as well as travel, accommodation and subsistence costs.

Field trips can be for undergraduate and postgraduate students and may be included as part of your degree or as an extra-curricular activity you arrange for yourself.
