Finding a job
The graduate jobs market is incredibly competitive and we understand that it can be tough searching for your first job after university, or even looking for a way to progress a year or two after graduation. You'll find a variety of graduate roles on MyCareerHub, our online jobs portal.
You can also find part-time and vacation roles listed on MyCareerHub, to help you earn some extra money while you're studying. You may want to consider working for BU as one of our student ambassadors.
Advice and support
We can also provide you with careers advice through one-to-one appointments for up to three years after you graduate. You can book an appointment to speak to one of our professionally qualified careers advisers on MyCareerHub.
As well as giving you advice about the career paths open to you, we can also assist you with writing your CV and covering letter, provide interview tips and help you find the best way to sell yourself in your chosen profession.
Sometimes finding a job can be all about who you know rather than what you know, which is why networking is such a valuable tool. We regularly host employer presentations where you can find out more about working in a specific industry, and skills workshops to hone things like CV writing or interview technique.
Every November, we host our annual Graduate & Placements Fair, where we invite dozens of employers to exhibit to you, providing you with information about placement opportunities, graduate jobs and simply the chance to network with companies in your field.
