At Bournemouth University our vision is to create the most stimulating, challenging and rewarding university experience in a world-class learning community by sharing our unique fusion of excellent education, research and professional practice and inspiring our students, graduates and staff to enrich the world.

We were the first university to be commended by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) for the quality of student learning opportunities and in 2012 we won the Queens Anniversary Award for Higher Education. We are currently changing the face of the university through our new, transformational estates programme with a stunning series of iconic new buildings, and we are continuing to invest further in our intellectual capital by seeking to appoint high calibre teams and individuals to our award-winning Faculties.

The University is investing in the growth of the Faculty of Management in order to enhance our academic reputation through excellent teaching and learning underpinned by impactful research in a global environment.  Knowledge development and education is at the heart of the Faculty and we are proud to offer an excellent portfolio of programmes including MSc Finance related courses allowing for various specialisations including Economics, MSc Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship, MBA, BA (Hons) Business Studies, and MSc programmes in Tourism and Hospitality Management.

The Faculty combines academic excellence and expertise from the areas of business and management, economics and tourism, which is documented by highly successful submissions to UoA 19 (Business and Management Studies) and UoA 26 (Sports and Exercise Sciences, Leisure and Tourism) in the recent Research Excellence Framework 2014. Successful applicants are expected to demonstrate research leadership and to engage in cutting edge research which enhances their contribution to high quality education.

As Professor or Associate Professor you will provide academic and managerial leadership in the area of Financial Systems Resilience. Sustained networks with industry and relationships with professional bodies are highly valued in this role alongside a track record in publications and bidding.  You are expected to engage in the activities of the Faculty of Management and the wider University. Opportunities for professional and research development will be provided.
