On Monday morning, there were various IT issues that affected both students and staff at BU including being unable to connect to the Wi-Fi, problems logging on to Windows 7 desktops and an inability to access H drives.
These issues were caused by the shutdown of an old server that, along with multiple new servers, assisted with the management of user accounts.
The new servers had a specific function disabled due to it being deemed unnecessary and this caused the loss of services. This was re-enabled and the issues were rectified.
