Our Student Services teams, including AskBU, will be unavailable due to departmental training until 2pm on 23 March.
The following services will be affected:
There will be no AskBU telephone helpline or face to face service at The Base or Bournemouth House Library from 8:30am-2pm. You may find the answer to your query on the student webpages where you can also change your password, update your personal details and request a replacement ID card, council tax exemption certificate or student status letter. The student section of the website also has comprehensive information about renewing your visa and student financial support. If you need to make an appointment with an immigration or financial advisor please email us and we will get back to you as soon as possible after the service re-opens.
International Student Support, Student Financial Support, Complaints and Discipline and the Student Engagement Team will also be unavailable for the morning.
The Additional Learning Support Service will not be taking phone calls or walk in appointments from 9am-2pm, although students with scheduled appointments will receive their normal support.
Careers and Employability Service
The Edge (outside the Library) will be closed for the morning. A wide range of resources are accessible online through MyCareerHub where you can also book a careers guidance or CV review appointment.
Music and Art
The Atrium Gallery will be closed for redisplay and the Music Admin Office will open again at 4pm.
The Residential Services Offices in Melbury House will be closed from 9am-2pm. Students should contact their halls reception as normal if they need to report a problem with their accommodation. Students in Unilet should contact Poole House Reception on 01202 965001.
SportBU and Chaplaincy will be open as normal.
