Develop Global Talent (Global Education)
At Bournemouth University, we want our graduates, our employees and the region’s businesses to shine, to thrive and to stand out in the global workforce. We believe in global talent for our staff, students and our regions. Our Global Talent Programme (GTP) is the vehicle which we have developed to enable us to achieve this.
The Global Talent Programme, is a HEA (Higher Education Academy) funded programme which we have designed and developed, in partnership with staff, students, and local employers, aimed at nurturing and developing talent across the BU academic community. The GTP does this by placing staff and students at the centre of its work.
This year the GTP is being piloted with around 200 students and involves attending a series of themed lectures and events during one semester. A range of learning resources, including articles, reports and videos are also available online for students to access throughout the programme.
The final session of this year’s pilot programme will take place in May and will give students the opportunity to celebrate their fantastic achievements and receive recognition for their participation in the Programme.
The GTP is a key expression of our vision, mission, and aspirations behind co-shaping a truly Global BU experience. We have this year successfully set the foundations for BU to become a future hub of global talent development, locally, nationally and globally.
We will be adding further details on how you can get involved soon. In the meantime, if you are a School, HEA, or business interested in collaborating with us on our exciting new Global Talent Programme, then we want to hear from you, so please contact us on GlobalBU@bournemouth.ac.uk
