This workshop will help our students to understand the nature and context of innovation taking place in China - the 2nd largest economy in the world, and its implications on global employability in the 21st century. In addition to the introduction of BU’s China Innovation Hub and our partners in China, we will also invite two special speakers: Dr Milena Bobeva, Faculty of Management, MBA Director, who led the Destination China 2016 and a student representative from 2016 Destination China summer school to share their experiences from both academic and student perspectives.
India: The Colourful Land of Wonderful Opportunities
This session allows you to have a closer look at India, one of the most diverse, dynamic, and colourful nations in the world. It will outline the opportunities that the world’s fastest growing economy offers graduates from across the world. Through an interactive exercise, you will get to share what you already know about India, you will hear from Indians and you will learn about Destination India - the student exchange programme that allows you to visit the country and one of the premier universities in India.
Introduction to ASEAN: Beyond Beaches and Temples
Known for its gorgeous beaches and tourist hotspots, the ASEAN region in Southeast Asia is the equivalent of the world's sixth largest economy and one of its fastest growing regions. This interactive workshop will provide an introduction to the dynamic countries and societies of the region and give an overview of the opportunities for BU students to go and experience the learning and working environments in these countries. We will also hear from BU students who have spent time in the region on mobility programmes and supporting BU’s first global Festival of Learning in Malaysia in June 2016.
As a key part of ‘Your Career Week’, the BU Annual Careers Fair is an ideal way for students to meet employers (local, national and international) in a relaxed and familiar environment, with staff on hand to help.
