We are currently fundraising to support the construction of a £42.5 million building to house our Faculty of Health & Social Sciences. The Bournemouth Gateway Building will provide over 10,000m2 of teaching and learning space, enabling us to deliver state-of-the-art facilities for the nurses, midwives and paramedics of tomorrow.
The building will contain a training operating theatre, clinical skills laboratories, an acute ward and specialist research areas. It will also include 17 seminar rooms, 2,000m2 of staff and postgraduate research office space, open access computer suites, collaborative social learning spaces, accessible roof terraces and a library.
The development will include an attractive piazza, and new pedestrian walkways will link together other campus buildings, providing easy access to local public transport for both students and the general public. The building is designed to be environmentally friendly with a variety of carbon-reduction measures.
We need to raise £2m in philanthropic support for the Bournemouth Gateway Building. Any general gifts towards the project are very welcome but there are also opportunities to fund pieces of equipment or specific rooms. Please get in contact for more information.
