BU’s Orthopaedic Research Institute was launched in 2015, and its research is already changing lives. The Institute’s overall objective is to produce a better outcome for each patient, whether that is reducing pain, speeding up recovery following orthopaedic surgery, or preventing the need for surgical interventions. Orthopaedic conditions such as osteoarthritis are incredibly painful and can be debilitating, and the Institute wants to help all patients to live a full and happy life.

The Orthopaedic Research Institute is led by Professor Rob Middleton and Associate Professor Tom Wainwright - you can find out more about their activities here.

Bournemouth University is an exempt charity HMRC No EW00806.
