Department of Human Sciences & Public Health

Our team support the development of midwives, allied health professionals, nutritionists, clinical exercise scientists and public health professionals. These occupations play a key role in today’s healthcare environment, helping to positively transform people’s lives, and we take the opportunity to ensure students learn with and from other professions as part of their pre-qualifying learning experience.

Through our research centres, we improve interdisciplinary practice within distinctive areas of our academic strength. These include public health, maternal health, pain management, physical activity and sport, healthy eating/ nutrition and professional practice in pre-hospital, acute and rehabilitation settings.
