Fair Access Agreement
BU takes a long-term, whole institution approach to widening access. Our Fair Access Agreement has been developed in conjunction with SUBU and BU’s Faculties and Professional Services.
Our latest Fair Access Agreement applies to all eligible students joining BU in the 2017-18 academic year and applies for the duration of their undergraduate study. You can download our 2017-18 Fair Access Agreement (pdf 906kb) here.
Our Fair Access Agreements from previous academic years are available to download from the Office for Fair Access. The access agreement that applies to you is from the academic year in which you started your studies with us.
We are committed to ethical standards of business conduct and adopt a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption in all jurisdictions.

This explains our obligation to secure freedom of speech within the law and, where applicable, the procedure for obtaining approval of meetings or events taking place on our premises or away from our premises where the meeting or event is associated with the university (for example where the university's branding is used).
SUBU code of practice
We are legally required to have a code of practice for the Students' Union at Bournemouth University (pdf 67kb). This explains how we work with our students’ union which is a separate registered charity.
Access to information
We try to make it easy for you to find out about us and the information we hold about you. We do this by publishing routine information about the university that might be useful to our staff, students, suppliers and the public. We also have procedures in place to process requests for other information, including requests for your own information.
You can find out more about accessing the information we hold by visiting our Access to Information pages.
